The Big Greasy Funk Band is a celebration of New Orleans funk and blues, the roots of American music. The “Big Greasy” is the official kickoff to Mardi Gras each year in the French Quarter – a fitting name for a high-energy band that gets the party started.

EXPERIENCE
The Big Greasy Funk Band was formed in February, 2025. The members of BGFB have over one hundred years of combined performance experience across the country in groups including Funky Uncle, the Jon Archambault Band, 1000 Watt Prophets, Stone Folks, Big Fun, Blue Water Kings Band, and others.
